The Challenge

I joined up today to do "the challenge" blog. One of my best friends Kensley told me about it, so I will be doing it with her. I'm nervous, but I have to lose 15 pounds by April 24!!!! AHHH! the hardest thing for me will be the giving up of sweets, I guess that includes chocolate... oy vay! anywya, I guess we will see how it goes, Stephanie (my sister) took me to the gym yesterday to teach me some things to do, so hopefully that will help! Giving up chips, cheese, and red meat as of friday! wish me luck!

Finally decided on the invitations!

Woot woot! Hopefully the order will get put in today, and I can start working on my calligraphy and get them addressed! We went through a TON of different invitations, but I think in the end, simply is always better! I'm very happy, and I can't wait to see them! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wood floors are getting installed today!!!!

Yeppers! as I type (during lunch at work), future husband is at home with the guys putting the floor in! So excited! I can't wait to go and see it after work! It's funny, I get all excited and yay about it... then it makes me think of all the other work I have to get done before Chris moves in next week. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Pulling hair out now! Why is there always so much to do and yet so little time?! Anyway, i will post pictures soon!

I hate glaze!

I'm not talking about the glaze on donuts, because well, I love that kind of glaze! I'm talking about the clear, satin sheen glaze that goes on top of the Venetian plaster I've worked so diligently on! Last night, I went to Husbands and my house to finish the glazing process of the dining room.... after 4 hours (dinner in between, which I will discuss later), I ran out of the stupid glaze! And of course at that time, Home Depot was out of the question. So I have to stop, with less then half a wall to go! I was soooooo mad! I just wanted to finish this, this, lunatic project of mine, but no, I ran out of stupid glaze because they only sell them in quarts and not gallons. Stupid glaze people! However, I will be completely finished with the Dining Room tonight.... I hope.

While in the fixing up the house project, the people at Albertson's now know my by a first name basis, because I"m in there ALL the time. It's interesting to look at my credit card statement, it goes live this: Home Depot, Albertsons, Home Depot, Albertson's, Home Depot, Albertson's... I think you get there picture. For ever purchase we make for home improvement, we make one to fill up our bellies.... The problem is, is that we don't get ingredients, we get microwavable or oven meals. Last night I went and got Stoffer's Chicken Enchiladas. it was HUGE, so I promptly called mom and asked if her and dad wanted to come over for dinner (we're close now, so I can actually do it, and it was pretty darn fun!) They came over, and being the wonderful parents that they are, they helped out with the house. Dad finished priming the master bedroom for me, while mom helped me in the dining room by cleaning the woodwork/ sanding it down so I can paint it tonight.

Oh I think I forgot to mention... Poor future husband hurt his back REALLY bad. He was attempting to put up crown molding, and he fell off the ladder and messed his back up. He can barely stand up and sit down the poor guy. but being the good sport that he is, he Cowboy'd up and taped off the chair railing so that we can paint. Gotta love a man that works through the pain! We need to get him better quickly though, because on Saturday, we have a bunch of big, strapping, burly men coming out to help us move stuff... ok, well maybe that was an over-exaggeration, but we have some guys coming out to help do the heavy lifting that I refuse to do because I want children someday! There's only 10 days left in both of our apartments until Future Husband moves into the house, and I go to my parents. So we really need to get on the ball.

Did I mention I have a cold now? The staying up late/working my butt off Routine that I've been doing for the past 2 weeks is REALLY starting to catch up with me... and let me tell you, it sucks. As I'm sitting here typing this, I'm sneezing, coughing and about to fall asleep.... Maybe moving back to my parents is a good thing, I might get more rest! Oh wait nevermind, I'm the idiot who changed her work hours to 7-4 so that I can miss traffic..... No rest for the weary I swear!

The joys of homeownership!

So Future Husband and myself bought a wonderful, beautiful, glorious house together exactly 1 1/2 weeks ago! We closed on Friday morning, and we haven't stopped working on it since! We've had a deadline because this Friday, hardwood floors are going in, so we have to get painting and crap done is certain areas of the house first. Well, being the brilliant person I am (that was dripping with sarcasm by the way), I decided HEY! let's make the dining room gorgeous and I'll spend the weekend putting Venetian Plaster on the walls and it will be OH so dramatic and beautiful! A week and a half later, and I'm still not finished! I really want to shoot myself! Oh sure it's pretty, but my arms, legs, calves, butt, head, fingers, toes, nose, eyes, and hair hurt! Between the putting up the plaster, moving things out of the apartment, unloading Husbands truck, working all day, going to class Tuesday/Thursday nights...(well ok I only go once a week but whatever!) and then priming the neon green room upstairs that will be husbands office, priming the master, painting the ceilings, painting the kitchen and the family room..... I'M EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be great though.... except for the fact that Future Husband get's to live there and reap the benefits of all my hard work while I go live back at my parents house for 5 months. Not that my parents are bad or anything, they're incredibly awesome people who have really helped us... it just generally sucks that I don't get to live in my home yet. But hey, it's only for 5 months right?!... yeah... who am I kidding. So that's generally been what's going on! Well that and I gained 3 pounds because when you're doing all this crap, you definitely don't eat healthy! I'm so sick of pizza! I never though I would EVER utter those words, but I did. Pizza is ugh to me right now, I've had pizza everyday for the past week and a half, and it's getting OLD! I now officially want SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the soy sauce and fish! Yum-O!

Oh yeah, and at some point in time I have become addicted to The Pioneer Woman's blog. I think I've read everything on there.... and I totally want her cookbook! As soon as I do move into our glorious home, I'm totally going to be one kick-@$$ chef! that's all I have to say!!!!

Wow, my blogging has been really bad!!!!

Well, I know everyone was stressing out with me about the whole church situation. But I can now say it's all over!!! yay!!!! We got our church! It's Christ Chapel Bible Church off of Montgomery in Fort Worth, and it is the most beautiful place I have ever been to!!!!

So the two biggest nightmares (well sorta) have been taken care of!!!

We've got the DJ, the Dress, the Florist, still working on bridesmaid dresses, and trying to find invitations! No rest for the weary on this 7 month mark!

The Church Nightmares Have Begun!

I have now been looking for a church for 5 months, that's right 5 whole months! Needless to say, it's getting pretty ridiculous! I am on waiting lists now for 3 churches!!!!! ugh! How annoying! Last night I was slumbering in a peaceful sleep, then all of the sudden *bam* I'm standing in the middle of a sanctuary that I love! It's gorgeous and dramatic, everything I ever dreamed of..... them walks in the wedding coordinator with another couple. They're looking for a church on the exact same day as me, and we both love the church! The mad dash to the office then began to be able to put down a deposit, and that's when I woke up!

Ok, seriously?!

This should not be happening! I should not be having nightmares over CHURCHES! But now, I am bound and determined to sign a contract on a church by the end of next week! Yep, it's official, I am throwing in the towel! It's down to 3 churches now. 1- Shady Grove Baptist Church (They're available, but they're a bit far away) 2- Christ Chapel Bible Church (You have to be a member, which we're not... I'm going to go talk to them today) 3- First Christian Church (They're available, but my sister got married there, and I'm really not a fan of it). So there ya go! By the end of next week (I hope) we will be having our wedding ceremony at one of these three places....

Hopefully Chris can survive me till the end of next week... here's hoping!

Bridal Show Experience

Being the amazing Fiance that Chris is, he went to the Fort Worth Bridal Show with me. I was so thrilled! I've been to the shows before with my sister and friends, but I've never gone as a "bride to be" before! We got in and I got to wear my button that says bride to be on it, and it was such an amazing feeling! He was so sweet (even though he was laughing at my giddiness). We talked to several photographers, tried some wedding cake, and some stuff at the chocolate fountain! We talked to limo drivers, and even he was getting pretty excited toward the end of the day.

The next day somehow I lost my button, we were at Micheal's looking for different ideas for wedding programs, and he snuck off and bought me another bride to be button because he knew how upset I was. He stuck it on my purse without me realizing, and I got such a surprise! Can you say AMAZING! He's so good to me! I can't wait to marry him, he makes me so incredibly happy!!! I can't wait for the amazing like we're going to share together! We are in the process of booking our honeymoon too! And I know it's still 271 days away, but I'm so excited for it!!!!! It's going to be absolutely amazing, and we are going to have such a great time together! At any rate, I love my future husband! YAY! I love saying that!! !HEHE!

The excitement is brewing!

Its official! We are out of the three hundreds! That's right, only 299 days until Chris and I get married! I know, I sound a bit excessive and extreme, but I can't help it! I know we fight all the time, we practically drive each other insane, but everyday when I see him, whether I mad at him or not, I feel whole. There's just something about walking up to all 6'2" of him, swinging my arms around his neck and smackin' a kiss on him; he makes me so incredibly happy!

I've been practicing my new name again, I'd given it up awhile ago, but I've started doing it again. I also just bought a shirt, it says: The Future Mrs. Chris Teer, April 24,2010! I never thought I had the bride gene, but it's hitting (Thank goodness!). So after work today, I'm going to meet my mom and grandma at Davis Bridal. Mom is going to bring her Wedding Vail, we got it out yesterday to play with it, and it's GORGEOUS! It's a chapel length Vail with a headpiece (that will be removed). Anyway I am going to meet them, try on my dress with her Vail and see how it looks. I am also going to put my order in today to get my dress.

Oh my gosh! still can't believe it! I'm going to get my wedding dress TODAY!!! what an incredible feeling! My next big task will be finding a church. That has been SUCH a nightmare! I don't even want to think about it! But who cares! WEDDING DRESS TODAY!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great desire for CARBS!

Why is it that women have an overwhelming desire for carbs... That is a rhetorical question, I really know the answer, I just don't like the answer! It really is unfair all of the things us women have to go through. Not only do we get to experience the annoying feeling of craps, and the associating period. Oh no, as if that wasn't enough! We also get to deal with the 5lbs you gain right before! And that my friends is ANNOYING! And with all of that, you eat everything you see even though you know you shouldn't.

I know that God made us this way, and it's a great thing that we get to do, you know, reproduce. But at the same time I can't help but think "seriously?!" It's times like these that I really don't like Eve. She had to be on her period!! That is the only reason that legitimately explains why she did what she did. She was on her period, and she was hungry, and because you're on your period and you want to eat EVERYTHING, that is why she ate the apple! Yep, that's my theory! I just thought I would share that with you! I am now going to try and stop thinking of bread.

Adventures in Swing Dancing...

About a month ago, my parents, fiance, and I went to a big band swing dance night at The Rose Chapel . I found out about it because I was looking to have my wedding ceremony there. As it turns out, we had an AMAZING night... As can be seen by the following pictures....





A big band Buddy's Big Band was there and they played some awesome music. After this fabulous night, we learned that every Tuesday night at 8 they give swing dancing lessons there. Well the four of us have been going for about 3 weeks now, and I must say, people from the 40's were in SHAPE! Last night we learned the Balboa...

"Balboa today is commonly used as a general term for dances that come from southern California during the 1920s and 1930s, which makes the history very obscure. Most of the original Balboa dancers have passed and many of the swing dancers that followed continued to use their steps and sometimes styles to integrate into their "swing" dancing which some people today call "Bal-Swing".

Balboa is a form of swing dance that started as early as 1915 and gained in popularity in the 1930s and 1940s. It is danced primarily in close embrace, and is led with a full body connection. The art of Balboa is the subtle communication between the lead and follow, like weight shifts, that most viewers cannot see. As a result, Balboa is considered more of a "dancer's dance" than a "spectator's dance".

So Chris and I got this down pretty good I think... however, I woke up this morning SORE. My poor back and legs hurt! Granted it may have something to do with the power yoga I did with Deanna at work yesterday, but I think the dancing has something to do with it. We go back next Tuesday to learn the Bal-Swing... I'm scared. Also, on the 3rd, they are having a Big 4th of July swing dance. My sister Stephanie and her fiance Brad will be in town and they East Coast Swing, so we should have FUN!!!! I'm so excited!

The 90% Myth


Not that the current administration would ever burden themselves with facts, but still, getting the truth should be necessary before attempting to restrict a fundamental freedom declared by the constitution. We face an incredible danger of having many fundamental rights and liberties curtailed through "creative accounting" such as this. In this case, the contention that 90% of the guns used in Mexico come from the US is absurd on it's face. Most of the guns used in Mexico for crimes are fully automatic assault rifles, which are not available from the local American gun shop. Of course, once again, reality is no preventative when there is a political point to be made. The 90% myth makes for excellent propaganda for those who would see the fundamental right to bear arms curtailed, such as the Brady Campaign and other groups that would see law abiding citizens stripped of the right to bear arms. (the Brady campaign is notorious for using creative accounting in its statistics). In truth, in an article on foxnews.com, it is reported that 90% of the guns which can be tracked originate in the United States. But the percentage of guns which can actually be tracked make up a tiny percentage of the actual guns found. In fact, only 17% of the guns recovered can be traced to the United States. Most come from Mexico's southern border, many others are stolen from the Mexican government itself.

These types of false statistics, taken with other current events, are part of a deeper phenomenon that goes beyond gun control. Dr. Saxe characterized it as a loss of will to survive. I call it American guilt. The current fad is to assume that no one is wrong except America. Guns in Mexico? Cartels waging war? Must be our fault. Global warming? Our bad. That Europe feels animosity towards us? Must be something we did. 9/11? Perhaps it was our lack of understanding and compassion that caused it. Recently there was a story on Slate.com about how some people with jobs feel shame that they are employed, while others aren't. A certain level of compassion is a wonderful thing, but to feel shame at doing exactly what you should be doing, shame at having a job, is indicative of compassion run amok. So too is the expectation that fairness should dictate all. No more bonuses to those that exceed expectations. Bonuses are not fair. Merit based appointments to jobs and colleges? Why that's not fair either. This country was founded on a very basic principle of risk and reward. Our greatness was built on the backs of those willing to risk it all in the pursuit of a reward. By removing that, we consign ourselves to mediocrity. Why risk anything when there is no reward? Without risk, there is no advancement. And that is bad for everybody, worldwide, not just us here. We are to blame for that.

I can not explain why I think this is happening, why we insist on blaming ourselves for all the worlds troubles. Maybe it goes back to how we raise kids anymore, instilling in them that everyone is valuable to the team, that right and wrong are nothing more than judgments made by individuals, valid no further than to the individual. We are so caught up in assuring everyone in our own micro-social world that they are valuable and important, that their decisions are not wrong, that we make the same jump in the macro-social world. The sad truth is that we are not all valuable to the team. Some people are faster, others smarter, some are beautiful, others aren't. And right and wrong are concrete principles, not flexible propositions to be applied as we see fit. I for one refuse to feel guilt for things that I believe to be right. I am proud of my country, I wouldn't live anywhere else. I know that America is not perfect, but I refuse to make apology to countries that have been bailed out by American lives and generosity. I guess if that makes me an arrogant American, I'm guilty as charged. But I won't apologize for it.

Just in case you didn't know the Federal Reserve is a private company of bankers with twelve branch banks that confiscate our money and they have been doing this for almost a hundred years,--- this time! They are not part of the United States Government. Yet today they collect hundreds of billions of dollars from American taxpayers every year.

A Little History Lesson



Alexander Hamilton



It was Alexander Hamilton who lobbied for the first private Federal Bank, and in 1789 Congress chartered the bank.



Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was adamantly opposed to the idea of a privately owned federal bank and said " I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies".





In 1811, under President James Madison, Vice President George Clinton broke the tied vote in congress to cast the bankers out refusing to renew the charter for the bankers. Unfortunatly it was President Madison who proposed a second United States privately owned Central bank and it came into existence in 1816



Andrew Jackson



However, in 1836 President Jackson, overriding Congress, closed it commenting, "The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it." (we now have another one like it)

Andrew Jackson also said, when speaking to the bankers: "You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God I will rout you out."


Martin Van Buren

When speaking to his closest friend, Martin Van Buren, Jackson said, "The bank, is trying to kill me, but I will kill it!" (and he did)


The first two Federal Reserve Systems lasted about 20 years each and we are now almost a hundred years into the third one.





Woodrow Wilson

The year is now 1913, the year after Woodrow Wilson was elected president of the United States. Prior to his election he needed financial support to pay for his campaign, so he reluctantly agreed, that if elected, he would sign the Federal Reserve Act, in return for that financial support.





In December 1913 while many members of Congress were home for Christmas, the Federal Reserve Act was rammed through Congress and was later signed by President Wilson. At a later date, Wilson admitted with remorse, when referring to the Fed."I have unwittingly ruined my country".





Now Comes the Income Tax! !!!


We didn't have nor did we need an income tax until we got the bankers back. The income tax was only needed to pay interest to the bankers for our money that they loan to our government. Yes, you read that right, the Fed, mostly on paper and computer, creates money or pays the treasury a small printing fee for currency, and then loans this money to our government. Our taxes pay them interest on this loan that cost the FEDS virtually nothing to make, what a sweetheart of a deal they have going for them.

As of March 6, 2006, the national debt stands at 8.2 trillion dollars. The American taxpayers have paid the FED banking system $173,875,979,369.66 in interest on that debt in just five short months, from October, 2005, through February, 2006. Since this article was written a couple of years ago the national debt has now risen to 10.7 trillion dollars, and since the economic meltdown that figure has risen dramatically and will continue to rise. The United States will never even be able to pay the interest on the loan,let alone the principle. So in actuality the Federal Reserve owns the United Statses and our elected officials are beholden to the bankers, not the American people. The Feds are the unseen "shadow government" , they are the ones who are governing our once great Republic. They control both houses of Congress and also the President, and no-one dare oppose them. they are all powerful because they control the money supply. No con artist or group of con artists in history has ever perpetrated a scam that even approaches the scope of this one.





According to the two volume work by Bill Benson and Red Beckman , "The Law That Never Was" the 16th amendment, which created the IRS, was never properly ratified, not even by one state! These gentlemen traveled the then 48 states to verify that fact. So in a very real sense the income tax isn't legal, as many have proclaimed, but try not paying it and see how far you get before the Feds come after you and confiscate everything you own.



HENRY FORD



Henry Ford once said "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning".

In the nearly 100 years of the existence of the Fed, it has NEVER been audited and they don't pay income tax on the billions of dollars they take from us.





According to Congressional record the U.S. Government can buy back the FED at any time for $450 million. That's about half the amount of money we pay them daily.

Do we have the most stupid and/or the most corrupt leaders in the world, or what? It seems their # 1 concern is getting re-elected, they seem to think nothing of shirking their responsibilities to the people who elected them to their powerful prestigous high paying jobs.






Congress likes the Fed because they can spend all they want with no restraints, they just put our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren into debt.





A Federal Reserve note is just what it looks like, it's just a piece of paper with no backing whatsoever. This is why Congress hates gold and silver backed money, it forces them to live within their means. Of course they also get other perks from the Fed. perks far too numerous to mention here.





Article 1, section 8, of the Constitution reads:
The Congress shall have the Power.....To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof,....
Nowhere in that document does it give Congress the authority to delegate this responsibility to anyone, much less a bunch of private bankers.





It may be that you were never a big fan of John F. Kennedy, but you may see him in a different light after you learn how he took on the FEDS. He had the foresight to see what a bad deal had been struck in the creation of the Federal Reserve. He also had the courage to do something about it.which unfortunately, may have cost him his life.

On June 4, 1963, President Kennedy signed a Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110. This order virtually stripped the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Government at interest. President Kennedy declared the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. This order gave the Treasury Department the authority to issue silver certificates against any silver in the treasury. This executive order still stands today. In less than five months after signing that executive order President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963.

The United States Notes (silver certificates) he had issued were taken out of circulation immediately. Federal Reserve Notes continued to serve as the legal currency of this nation. It is estimated that 99% of all U.S. paper currency circulating in 1999 are Federal Reserve Notes.





Lincoln also took on the bankers and that brave bold step may also have cost him his life.

During the Civil War (from 1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War for the North. The Bankers were going to charge him 24% to 36% interest. Lincoln was horrified and greatly distressed, and he would not think of plunging his beloved country into a debt that the country would find impossible to pay back.

So Lincoln advised Congress to pass a law authorizing the printing of full legal tender Treasury notes to pay for the War effort. Lincoln recognized the great benefits of this issue. At one point he wrote: "... (we) gave the people of this Republic the greatest blessing they have ever had - their own paper money to pay their own debts..."

The Treasury notes were printed with green ink on the back, so the people called them "Greenbacks". Lincoln had printed 400 million dollars worth of Greenbacks (the exact amount being $449,338,902), money that he delegated to be created, a debt-free and interest-free money to finance the War. It served as legal tender for all debts, public and private. He printed it, paid it to the soldiers, to the U.S. Civil Service empoyees, and bought supplies for the war.





Lincoln was assassinated shortly after the war and Congress revoked the Greenback Law and enacted, in its place, the National Banking Act. The national banks were to be privately owned and the national bank notes they issued were to be interest-bearing. The Act also provided that the Greenbacks should be retired from circulation as soon as they came back to the Treasury in payment of taxes.




Follow The Money!!!

When you follow the money you find there was no-one in the world who had a better reason to kill these two Presidents than the bankers. It seems inconceivable that anyone could still think there was no conspiracy in the assassination of JFK, especially when you consider the many people that were murdered or had suspicious deaths and who were associated in some way with Kennedy's assassination.
