| What's in the heart comes out via the tongue! From Rush Limbaugh's radio show yesterday..... And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins. Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. There are 57 Islamic states. |

Obama's Mistake!
The Joys of School!
And I think i'm going to like Tuesdays! I get to sleep in a little because my first class isn't until 9:30, however I've discovered there is a downfall to this.. Parking! I have now learned that the parking lot I usually park in has a parking lot behind it! and not onlly that, but that parking lot has a parking lot behind it! That is where I had to walk from.. Totally wore the wrong shoes yesterday! but now I have learned and I will be able to avoid that in the future!
My classes should be very interesting. I am taking American Political Parties, Cases in Civil Liberties (btw, that professor is crazy! but very, VERY funny!), and Controversies in Modern Political Theory! The reading load has been passed out, and I think I'll survive, maybe! But all in all I hope for a good year, after this semester I only have one more left and then it's Cap and Gown time baby!!! And I also get to go to Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy next spring!!!! I can't wait! But I guess I should focus on the right now huh?! =)
Anyway! There's a quick update, I hope this new schedule lets me keep blogging!

"Trust can take years to build, but only a second to break.Love is simply a perfect friend.Source Unknown
Whenever you are betrayed and wounded by someone you deeply loved and cared about and trusted, one of the things that happens is that it feels like your footing has suddenly come loose. It feels like the ground beneath your feet is crumbling, because you believed that the people closest toyou, the people that you loved and you thought loved you, could be trusted, and that’s part of your security. But when somebody betrays you suddenly you wonder, Who can I trust? And how do I know that won’t happen with this person or this person? It feels like there is no sure footing;everything’s coming unraveled.

Memories! Sounds like a song that should be in "Cats"... HAHA!
It's times like these I wish I wasn't so lazy and I kept a journal, not that anyone would really be interested in it, but it's always fun when you're cleaning out a closet or something and you find a diary and/or journal! You see it, you know exactly what it is, and yet you sit down for an hour or so and read page after page laughing at yourself, but enjoying the memories. That happened to me the other day. I found a scrapbook my sister and I kept about gymnastics in the Olympics. It was so funny to see how we would clip out all the newspaper articles, spray them with Aqua Net hairspray so they'd age better and then glue them into this notebook. It was such great fun doing it, and I remember how Stephanie and I would comb through eveyry newspaper we could find to make sure we had every article! It really made me miss her too!

So it makes me sad that I didn't get a chance to blog the trip. But hopefully the 300-400 pictures I took will take it's place. Who knows, maybe it will make me get back into scrap booking... now there's an idea!

Vacation Day #1
Car #1 the rental company gave to someone else, Car #2 had a flat tire and then car #3 was teeeny tiny! We were waiting outside for him in humid New Orleans for an hour or so befor Mr teer showed up with the tiny clown car! We packed all the luggage in, and Chris and I had to scoot in super close to each other because half the back seat was taken over by luggage.. then it was off to go see the old house they lived in 30 years ago ( of course we couldn't go to the hotel room and unload first..). After the house, they had to find a liquor store because it MIGHT be closed on Sunday and they might not get any for the big houes in Florida.. So we had to do that for another hour.
We finally got to the hotel around 4pm. We unloaded the car, changed and off we went to walk around downtown New orleans... It's such a wierd place, and I don't think I want to go back. There were guys running around in red dresses, people were drunk and scantally dressed.. it was gross! We went to Pat Obriens and got the N.O. classic drink: the Hurricane. I did not enjoy mine, neither did Mrs. T, so we gave our drinks tot he boys and got Long Islands instead. Those were pretty good and us girls enjoyed them more!!! =) After that we just kept walking around and sightseeing, and everyone got a little buzzed.
Around 830 we headed down St Charles street to go get some dinner at this really nice resturant downt there. Mr and Mrs T used to go there a lot when they lived in N.O. We took the street car all the way down, and I must admit, it was a lot of fun, but very crowded!!!! I ordered the house special BBQ shrip... but its a little bit different from the shrimp in Texas... these shrimp still have THE HEADS ATTACHED!!!!!!! oh my goodness, it was the ugliest thing i've ever seen! I ate it all of couse, but those heads really bothered me! After that it was off to a Jazz club till 1! and that sums up day 1 of our summer vacation!

Drama. Drama, Drama!!!
I told him that there was nothing i could do until at least 2 this afternoon.. and that was how the stressful morning began! As soon as I got to work, it was problem after problem after problem! Reports being due, issues with accounting, and my boss making me run around like a chicken with my head cut off!!! I cannot wait to get out of here! In exactly 48 hours, I will be laying on the beach, drink in one hand, book in another and the ocean in front of me! I cannot wait for some relaxation!! I NEED IT! I'm one more problem away from going insane!!!! ugh, A whole week without having ot come to work! What a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why in the world would the apt complex clean the carpets the day of a move it?! Does that makes sense to anyone?! I think that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I'm going to move in, and have wet carpet! I mean come on! Seriously?!
But anyway, after all that mess... it's of to Sunny Florida! I can't wait! Maybe I'll actually get tan.. Wouldn't that be cool!!!!

Mom's Quote of the Day: Aug. 5th

Americans, living in what is called the richest nation on earth, seem always to be short of money. Wives are working in unprecedented numbers, husbands hope for overtime hours to earn more, or take part-time jobs evenings and weekends, children look for odd jobs for spending money, the family debt climbs higher, and psychologists say one of the biggest causes of family quarrels and breakups is "arguments over money." Much of this trouble can be traced to our present "debt-money" system.
Too few Americans realize why Christian Statesmen wrote into Article I of the U.S. Constitution: Congress shall have the Power to Coin Money and Regulate the Value Thereof.
(Not the Federal Reserve Board; which is not a government entity but a privately owned corporation!)
They did this in prayerful hope it would prevent "love of money" from destroying the Republic they had founded. Subversion of Article I has brought on us the "evil" of which God's Word had warned.
The solution to our debt challenge is:
- quit paying interest on the money we print just as the Constitution demands.
- quit giving money to the rest of the world until we are out of debt and the dollar is stable.

The Excitment is Stirring
I get my new place on Friday afternoon, I'm taking a 1/2 off work in order to try and get everything settled. Then Saturday morning, Lover Boy and I take off with his parents and fly off the New Orleans where we will then drive to Santa Rosa Beach. As exciting as all this is, and it is VERY exciting. I find that I am beginning to start worrying and not wanting to live on my own again. It always takes me awhile to get used to returning to a home that is completely empty...no parents, no dog, just me and my thoughts and mountains of movies. Although its been a hard few months living at my parents, I love them so much, and its fun when you have nothing to do to walk into the other room and watch TV with my mom.
I know I can still do that, I mean they're just a 15 minute drive away. But its different. There's no one there when you walk through the door saying "hey sweetie! you're home! How was your day? Dinner will be ready in 30 minutes!". I realize now how much I've taken that for granted, and how wonderful my mom is to put up with my cranky mood because it's been so long since I've eaten lunch! I love that woman, and I'm sad at the idea that this is the last time I will live at home. Its so weird to think about that... I was born in that house, I've lived there for almost 20 years, and now... Se la ve, etc. It really is sad!
